Ultralight Engine Talk
One of the great things about ultralights is that they are even more flexible than experimental aircraft in what a pilot can and can't do with them (within the few FAA/FAR Part 103 regulations). This forum is for general engine talk, such as comparisons and the engines that aren't yet prime time. The sub-forums here are for specific brands.

Searching for that specific fix, modification, or other information that you once read in one of the forums? It might be here. When the admins find information that is useful but sometimes gets lost in other forums, we'll move it here to easily find it. So think of this as anything outside of general discussion.

FAA/FAR Part 103 Talk
Ultralight pilots talk a great deal about Part 103. So what is Part 103? The FAA regulates all aircraft, creating and enforcing the requirements for them and for pilots. FAR stands for Federal Aviation Regulations. Part 103 is the section that governs ultralights. The good is that the FAA has set minimal regulations for ultralights. This is good, and at the same time bad. To keep from having to be greatly involved in ultralights, the regulations are very short and to the point. That the good. The bad is that those regulations set some less than desirable limitations on ultralights. You'll find help in understanding what those limitations and minimal regulations are in this Forum.

General Chat of This and That
This forum is for general chat that doesn't fit into the other forums. Posts in other forums that should be here will be moved here. This forum is generally ultralight aviation oriented, but other subjects may be posted, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF GENERAL ADVERTISEMENTS. The forum is not so you can advertise bars, get rich quick schemes or anything of that like. Those will be deleted, and your account deleted and blocked. For others, just remember the rules, especially the first one - be nice. If you can't be nice, don't post. It's that simple. Of course the best way to support your opinion is to post with references, not just "I heard" or "I was told so that's the way it is...". Inaccurate information abounds today, let's try and not have it here. Enjoy the forum and general discussions.
