Re: New Builder - BA 103 - F2 Kit

The F2 build is on hold right now. I had just retired last year and figured I would have all the time I needed to build my F2 kit. I actually ordered my kit while I was still working and knew the wait time of about a year for Chris to get me ready would allow me time to finish my last year at work a...

I will be installing a new F23 engine in my F2. Had a few major setbacks as life can throw you a curve just when you don't really need it. Close to getting back on the project. A few things about the F23 install. There is not a ready made engine mount out there for the twin. My biggest issue is tryi...

Wow Gary, I didn't know he flew it from your place to Truman. I thought he loaded it up in his trailer instead. What a testimonial to a great plane/engine combo. I loved seeing it on display at Oshkosh and am so jealous of that awesome orange color scheme on the covering job.

A couple of morning landings at the Oshkosh Ultralight field by a guy named Chris. :D Good pilot, great builder and a pretty nice guy too! So now the list of do not forget items for the flight from Truman MN to Florida goes like this:

1. Old Timey 1990's handheld GPS
2. AA batteries for item one
3. Mittens
4. D cell batteries for old timey electric heated mittens (if applicable)

If you get Chris to get your plane 100% flight ready and pay for him to add a really mega-huge fuel tank, you can fly home non-stop in 24.8 hours at 60 mph. All of that titanium should offset the extra 150 gallons of fuel of course. Plus your engine would now be completely broken in as a bonus. Don'...
