Ready to mount port wing

Post by ksatter26 »

Port wing (minus flaperon) is ready to mount. Awaiting my extra hands Grandson to get it done.

I did note a problem with positioning the flaperon cable through the fabric of the stb wing. Folding the wing back exerts a rearward pressure on the cable/grommet which ripped the fabric about 1.5". I will have to repair the fabric and relocate the position of the flaperon cable pass-thru.

Another lesson learned so I won't make the same mistake on the port wing.

When folding the wing I have to feed the flaperon cable into the hole...you may end up needing to do the same. Easy enough to do solo, I've found.
