Faux WW2 Liason
I was thinking that with an inverted Rotax twin and aluminum cowling on a Badlands frame... The addition of a few wood stringers to establish the fuselage profile... And bows added to the wingtips... One could make a quite passable single seat miniature of a Cirrus or Gipsy powered Taylorcraft C2 or Auster III.

Interesting concept. I could see where the tube framing might give the more historic look compared to most of todays light planes. Do you have any pictures of the planes you mentioned? Give'm a post if you've got them, I'd like to see more of what you're talking about.
