Here is a nice option for a BRS. The price is fair, and it's comparatively light.

Hi LA F2 Flyer. Are you using the Comelli BRS?

Hi broughtonkicks! I am not. I haven't decided whether or not I intend to install a chute, for a variety of reasons. Right now my center of gravity is at the most aft point of the range, and hanging a chute somewhere behind the center of gravity would put me past the range, I have a feeling.

Also, I rarely intend to fly with enough altitude to deploy it. Unless I decide to hang a much heavier engine on the nose of my plane and decide to do a flight from A to B, rather than buzzing a lakebed, I will likely just go without.

I had come across the site a while back when I was researching what was available, and Comelli seemed like a viable option for a good price.

Thanks for the info LA F2 Flyer. I too am not very concerned about actually needing to deploy it. I am primarily interested in having one so that I can get the extra weight allowance and still comply with Part 103 restrictions.

It sounds like it might suit your purposes, then. As I recall one of Comelli's options was lighter than a lot of other chutes I had seen, so it may give you a few extra pounds to play with!
