The re-install of the ignition system did not go well. Lots wires to connect and horrible Polini documentation/ schematic. The color coding on the schematics is not much help when the wires are embedded in the harnesses. My tear-down pictures have not proven to be of much help either and nobody out there seems to have a single ignition 303.
Once done, when I tried to connect the battery leads, the starter kicked over... not good with the starter and master power switches off.
I have once again removed the components and am trying to make sense of the little documentation that I have.
If I could sell the engine, I'd be tempted to purchase a DS or better still convert to the Thumpair, 4-stroke.
Frustrating.
