Forum Rules
1. Be polite, even when you don't feel like it. Doing this is simple - refrain from using the word "you" when responding to posts. It's really difficult to be accusatory without using "you". Let the forum admins take care of someone that's not being polite and following the rules.
2. Don't bully or be a jerk to other users of the forums. See rule #1. If someone asks a question and you don't feel like answering them (politely) then don't post anything at all. Responses like "why don't you search first" are useless and push people way from the forum. That's not in the spirit of this forum. Provide a polite and helpful answer to the question or leave it alone.
3. Keep it clean. We don't regulate who can read your posts. We don't need 12 year old want-to-be pilots reading foul language posts.
4. Try to keep on topic or open a new topic. Else the posts that are off topic may end up trashed.
5. The admins of this forum reserve the right to ban anyone at anytime and for any reason, not just going afoul of the rules here. The rules can't cover everything, so use common sense. If there's a chance of going afoul, simply follow a tried and true rule - If in doubt, don't.
6. Repeat and in addition to rule #1 - Be polite. It's ok to disagree. It's great to agree to not agree. It's wrong to get into an argument. Post actual facts and sources to provide proof of what you're saying. References to articles and peer reviewed articles are ideal. Hearsay and "I read" don't cut it. If discussing a subject, then discuss intelligently. Today far too many go off hear-say and what they heard from x, y, or z. It's ok to do that, but don't state those things as fact unless it can be backed up with proof - a URL to the facts works wonders.
7. By using this forum server, you agree to these rules and any decisions made by the forum admins pertaining to your use or banning from the forum server.
8. Last but not least, feel free to ask questions about these rules or anything else concerning the forum servers use. We're happy to discuss the rules, make new ones if needed, and update or delete old no longer needed rules.
9. Promoting your website, forum, or FB page as long as it's aviation oriented is permitted and even welcomed as long as the promo is in good taste, good faith to the sport of flight, and is not excessively long. Non-aviation promotions are not allowed and will be deleted. Businesses are also allowed to post but follow the same requirement, not excessively long. The forum admins reserve the right to delete any post deemed to be inappropriate or outside of of this rule.
