A LOT of work getting to this stage. Many hours of positioning and adjusting the cowl to fine tune the cutouts for the engine "protrusions". Hours of applying auto-body putty and sanding to gret out the pin-holes and fine tune the contours.

1st spray coat of automotive primer. This will be followed by a good session of 600 grit wet-sanding followed by a 2nd coat and 800 grit wet-sanding. This should produce a really nice smooth surface for the DuPont automotive enamel (to match the Sky-blue Oratex 600).

I am also working on traveling brackets for the 16' flat-bed trailer. Diagrams and pictures to follow.

Looking really sharp Kurt. A lot of work but certainly worth the effort. Hopefully the heat will also subside a bit. Seems here in Texas we have two seasons - a very short Fall and Spring, and in between we have very long HOT and COLD!

Wow! It's come a long way! Looks fantastic. I am looking forward to seeing it mounted on the nose of that plane!
